"The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me"

"Destiny is not a matter of chance but a matter of choice."
In my life, I could hardly explain the meaning of destiny. I am a
person who unwittingly chose the wrong path. All I know, I fell
in love with someone.
That time, I thought having him in my life was the right choice. But
I was wrong. I have learned that it was not a faithful love. He only
used me. He lied to me. Because of my wrong decision, I seemed
to forget God. I dumped my family's reputation by loving him enough
to bear his child. All my life, I could not forgive myself for being
stupid! Many shed tears; hearts bled, and screamed, "how stupid
she was!" I myself broke the clear crystal of my being which I
treasured most.
Experience made me strong. Yes, I deserve the consequence of
a young impulsive heart. I am now a victim! I know what I've done
painfully failed my loved ones' expectation of me. What I experienced
was an unforgettable moment in my life. It almost shattered me, but
it also made me stronger and a better person.
At sixteen, I am now a mother and I am grateful to be one. Being
a good mother is not an easy task. I regretted how I made my mother
cried. I could hardly believe myself for having been gifted with a
wonderful mother like her. She is always there for me to offer her
shoulders to cry on.
If ever I would be given another time to choose between the man I
former loved and my mother, I will choose my mom, and there would
be no second thoughts.
I just want to say that in making decisions, think a hundred times. Ask
opinions from brilliant minds. Don't be ashamed to spill yourself to
someone who would listen to your woes, especially to our dear parents.
This is the best thing that ever happened to me because I realized how
important my family is. I also thank God for my gift, my baby, to whom
I give all my love and care. With him, I will continue to strive for a brighter
future where my baby and I will live happily ever after.
